The Hopeless Romantic

Updated on January 9, 2015

What do you do when

You're a hopeless romantic

Time ebbs and flows

But without romance pain shows

The heart what it's missing

It's empty and life feels hopeless

Without prince charming or his princess

Whatever happened to our perfect union

The times together we had: communion

United together as one

Such beauty where else will you find it?

I miss the flow and ebb of love

Kissing for hours

Conversation and prowess

Relationship magic

The yin and yang making a perfect concoction

I know what real love is

I felt it in your kiss

Where will I ever find such feeling again?

How do you rate?

I think that many of us on hubpages are hopeless romantics. Love your poem.

Hmm writers seem to have that possibility more so that others. Good insight, Blossom! :) And thank you :)

interesting poem. sadly, true love is hard to find, as seldom few ever find it. Heck, there's even couples that think they have it, but they really don't. It's just one of those rare things that very few people ever find in their lifetime, but it's definitely worth searching for if you can find it.

Thank you Steven for your comment. Yes, I suppose it is interesting. True love is hard to find, I agree...I felt like I had it, but I don't know if I'll have it again.

precious woman. I just love your poem. Much food for thought. Poetry is amazing because it leaves much for the imagination. You got it girl and I am touched by your works. Hopeless romantic. I always was. I always needed a man around to fill me. Since those years I have come to know I am a romantic for Jesus. He fills the hole. He is the whole filler. Man will let us down as much as we may deny it. Because none is perfect. Only one. Thank God for sending Jesus. He fills the gap and heals the brokenhearted. He is the heart changer. I love you dear sister. Keep up the fine work. I have voted and shared

      Hi Skye,

I think I'm reaching that point where I can appreciate what you're saying. Jesus IS perfect and He is there for me all the time. I hate offending Him.

      Thank you!

A romantic for Jesus? Yes, that sounds nice....:) I hope he changes the hard hearts of my friends and family who have hard hearts- stone hearts!
