The Hopi Indian Prophecy (Article)

Updated on June 29, 2010

The Hopi Indians are an American Indian tribe that settled in northeastern Arizona. The name, “Hopi” translates to “peaceful ones.” It is believed that the Hopi migrated north out of Mexico around 500 BC and settled in the Four Corners area of the United States because of the energy that is thought to be present there. They actually have the longest history of occupation of a single area by any other Native American tribe. The Hopi believe it is their destiny to protect the Four Corners at all cost. They believe there is great power under the land that if it is allowed to escape, great destruction would result.

Many American Indian tribes had revered “Medicine Men” who were not only able to heal the sick, but who were also considered to be the tribe philosophers and “seers.” The stories and predictions these clairvoyant Indians told the tribe members were passed down from generation to generation, and were eventually written down and preserved. The Hopi Prophecy is probably the most famous of these predictions.

The Hopis believed there will be nine worlds--the three previous worlds on which we lived, the present Fourth World, the three future worlds we have yet to experience, and the world of Taiowa, the Creator, and his nephew, Sotuknang." Basically, the following are predictions for the end of the Fourth World:

This is the First Sign: We are told of the coming of the white-skinned men, like Pahana, but not living like Pahana, men who took the land that was not theirs. And men who struck their enemies with thunder.” (Pahana (or Bahana) is the Lost White Brother of the Hopi. It is believed that the Pahana or Elder Brother left for the east at the time that the Hopi entered the Fourth World and began their migrations. However, the Hopi say that he will return again and at his coming the wicked will be destroyed and a new age of peace, the Fifth World, will be ushered into the world.) [Wikipedia]

"This is the Second Sign: Our lands will see the coming of spinning wheels filled with voices.” (The white men bringing their families in wagons across the prairies.)

"This is the Third Sign: A strange beast like a buffalo but with great long horns, will overrun the land in large numbers.” (The coming of the white man's cattle.)

"This is the Fourth Sign: The land will be crossed by snakes of iron." (Railroads)

"This is the Fifth Sign: The land shall be cris-crossed by a giant spider's web." (Telegraph and telephone wires)

"This is the Sixth sign: The land shall be cris-crossed with rivers of stone that make pictures in the sun." (Could this be concrete highways that look like a wet mirage when it is very hot?)

"This is the Seventh Sign: You will hear of the sea turning black, and many living things dying because of it." (The current Gulf oil leak-or Exxon Valdez?)

"This is the Eight Sign: You will see many youth, who wear their hair long like my people, come and join the tribal nations, to learn their ways and wisdom.” (The 60's? -unless there's another upcoming era of long hair hippies.)

“And this is the Ninth and Last Sign: You will hear of a dwelling-place in the heavens, above the earth, that shall fall with a great crash. It will appear as a blue star. Very soon after this, the ceremonies of my people will cease.” (Space Station?)

The Great Spirit told the Hopi that the Four Corners is the backbone of the United States. The Hopi believe they must hold onto the land till Human Beings live in harmony. They also believe if they left the area the power under the land would be used for destruction and that there would be a terrible punishment if they gave up Four Corners. Other Hopi history that the Elders hold on to is information regarding major changes in the earth and communication and interaction with Space Brothers. There are some luminous discs of light in the petroglyphs all along the south west.

The Hopi Indian Legend of the Ant People

The Hopi believe that at the destruction of each age of humanity the people that are pure of heart take refuge within the center/heart of the Earth and are protected there by a civilization they refer to as the Ant People.

Hopi drawings of the Ant People bear a strong similarity to what we call the grays—alien beings with large heads, small bodies, and huge black eyes. Some of the drawings indicate that this race of people had the ability to use telepathic thought. (See picture at left)

Hopi Prophecy also speaks of the return of the Blue Kachina - Star People and Star Knowledge - at the end of each cycle of time. ‘Just another indication that Earth has been visited by aliens for hundreds of years.

"It is only materialistic people who seek to make shelters. Those who are at peace in their hearts already are in the great shelter of life. There is no shelter for evil. Those who take no part in the making of world division by ideology are ready to resume life in another world, be they Black, White, Red, or Yellow race. They are all one, brothers."

Hopi travelled from Mexico long ago, there stories relate simular stories from about the world, ie Wondjina Aborigines Australia; Tassili, Sahara; Peru, Orejona; Djinni Egypt; Val Camonica Italy; Utah, Sego; these apart from the already known stories, it amazes me, all parts of the world with simular stories to relate..mind boggleing...

Christine, I appreciated that article...I have read many different versions of Indian prophecies...and I am always amazed by the ones that seem to be "right on"...I wonder if the Lost White Brother that is coming back is Jesus.
