Shining coat flashing in the sun. Silky mane rippling in the wind. A toss of the head and the stamp of a hoof. Few of God's creatures are as noble and soul-stirring as the horse. Even those of us who aren't lucky enough to have horses of our own seem to have an innate desire to connect with these beautiful, regal beasts. As children we read stories about them, collected models of them, and tacked posters of them up on our walls. Always they are inspiring, like the horses themselves.— Callie Smith Grant
Throughout history they have carried us and calmed us, pulled our loads and pulled at our heartstrings. They give us a taste of wildness and yet make us feel at home. In this inspiring collection, you'll meet horses who show up at the right time, who help their humans learn important truths, and who rescue the very people who rescued them. These true stories of horses and the people who love them are sometimes touching, sometimes humorous, and sometimes miraculous.— Callie Smith Grant

As I always just as I wrote at the top of this hub "I was sent a complimentary copy of The Horse of My Heart edited by Callie Smith Grant in exchange only for my honest and unbiased review of The Horse of My Heart edited by Callie Smith Grant."
The Horse of My Heart edited by Callie Smith Grant is filled with amazing heart warming stories about horses. I found myself crying during some of them and laughing during others. My favorite out of all of them though was The Day the Horse Confirmed What is Real by Lonnie DuPont. This story shows how an adopted child is truly no different form a blood child. This mother stood in front of a charging horse to save her daughter who was on the horse's back. I also enjoyed the story about the horse that save a mother a her foul from a charging bully horse. The horse just calmly walked between the two and eventually the bully horse stopped. I was pleased with the lessons on trust that were in this book it truly teaches everyone valuable lessons in trust.
