The Human Equation (a poem by whonunuwho)
One Answer to the Riddle of Life
The survival, our own existence upon this glowing earth,
A result of diligence, the stamina afforded by our worth.
Life is equal to the strength, that's found within us each,
Not riches or of any wealth, a greed, us not to beseech.
Should we then to fall down, as when we may go astray,
Ours to strive on for living in the now, to try in every way.
Worry not what the rising sun, may a new tomorrow bring,
Regard each new day, as a gift, as when wild birds sing.
We shall all take on the good times, as with those so bad,
Regretting not the loss of an easy life, we may have had.
The search for that magic potion, always to be the same,
Yet, what's found inside of us, our spirits, shall still remain.
Ask not about what the future may hold for all human kind,
That answer, to infinity, to be searched for, within our mind.
This human equation, is solved by work of each brave soul,
No chalk on boards, but is found within each heart of gold
