The Jingle In My Day

Updated on April 5, 2012

The Pleasant Sound

When I am confused and tired I look for ways to trigger some excitement

Today I was at a loss

Not a single thought seemed to pop

Then the strangest thing happened

A noise in my spring jacket pocket was accidentally activated

The sound so familiar and comforting

As I rattled what little change I had like a snake ready to strike

I knew I was on to something bigger than me

The ancitipation of what I had grew

A soft sounding noise was a sign that my energy is back

Ready to work it's charm

To disarm all things that can bring me harm

Encouraging different sounds that could be made

From the slightest movement of my hand

To remind us all is not lost

For all we have to do is look for lifes clues

That will bring any number of reasons to carry on

With life as beautiful as a song

That can be played over and over again

Each time triggering the inner spirit that lays still

To bring out the freshness of a cold drink of water from the well

That reminds us water is all around us

Until swollowed that is when we get the most benificial effect

To soon make all things good again

Dim Flaxenwick Thanx but I have enough trouble being a husband, lover, friend, hard worker, and a writer in training.I am so glad you have found a way to brighten your day.My day is crushed like a recycled can.I am trying to turn mine in for my nickle and nobody will take it.So I guess I will have to straighten it out and live with a few dents and keep bent over for the rest of the morning.Life does look different from here.Thanx so much.

Dim Flaxenwick I am in awe at the little things that give me the greatest laughs.Like blowing through a straw and hearing the sound of air.I will save that for another day.I don't want you to think I have completely lost my mind.I am just a kid who wants to be funny and kind.Next time you smile hold it awhile.Next time you laugh don't stop so quick.See if that will work.It is my own quick fix to a problem I don't have time to think and write a hub about.I carry my laughter a little longer and my joy twice as long too.Don't tell anyone. Our little secret.Talk soon.

I loved this. I still get a wonderful feeling if I discover some change I´d forgotten about. Even now, itmakes me feel rich, whatever the amount I´ve found.

How lovely that you wrote this..

      DREAM ON,

      Very nice and uplifting piece.

So inspiring, three of my favorite lines:

To bring out the freshness of a cold drink of water from the well

That reminds us water is all around us

Until swollowed that is when we get the most benificial effect

      Voting up and awesome!

      Ciao...Princess Prisca

I'm impressed that you can get a spring in your step over loose change in your pocket. :)

I need to remember to do that myself.
