Slightly cowered

On club-foot brass

Shadows traipse

Over Refracting glass.

Exhausted and diminshed

From years of use

I see our reflection

It gleams abuse.

The looking glass

And I

A pair

We two.

Share a passing of time

From weathering neglect

By careless hands

The mirror and I, do reflect.

Retired now

And tucked away

In the darkest attic

From light of day.

I have not forgotten

The looking glass

Nor has it forgotten

This broken lass.

Heartrending final quatrian, Zyena. But the protagonist cannot be you; the human one, that is?

I wonder if mirrors do, indeed, fade and die from all the pain and excitement they only are privy to?

How do you do that? How do you write a poem that is so lovely in such a short amount of time? Beautiful job and I am a big fan of yours.
