The Lost Poet

Updated on February 24, 2016

A Man Or A Woman Stands Alone

Listening to the evils of society

How bad people are

The tragedies that make our heart ache

As our stomach curls

We hold back the tears

All that is left is fear

No different than a burnt dinner dried up and chard

Think again

All the good times and the great moments

With love laughter, family and friends by our side

Enjoying the thrills of sweet happiness

Who we are and who we are meant to be

All the meals we have eaten

That were delicious and mouthwatering

Begging for one little bite

Alot like life

Take the bad with the good

Make the best we can

With love from everyone

An awesome poem here. Yes, so very true we must do the best we can. I have lots to reflect upon this last day on February because tomorrow rides in March along with my birthday and a change of number once again.

shanmarie Life comes in spurts. Not evenly laid out or planned in any way. We have to be able to flow with change. Enjoying the good and riding out the bad till more good comes along. Staying positive and always searching for the good helps. Thank you for reading.

grand old lady Thank you for such a beautiful complement. Each time I write I throw caution to the wind and hope some of my words might stick like a light snow clinging to everything we see. Even though tomorrow the snow may disappear I know I was there. I am happy to pay a visit and more than happy to come back again. Have a wonderful night.

Vandana Patel I try looking at my day and see what is different and what is routine. Then I try to break it down to the basic elements that we all have experienced in our life. Hoping we can connect in a deeper level and with that bring joy out of sadness. Laughter out of pain. Erasing hate by filling our lives with love. Thank you for reading and sharing. May your night be a wonderful way to recap all the good in your day.

This is like a psalm. It starts out really sad, then leads you to a happier ending. The difference is in our toughts and it's a choice we have to make. Lovely poem.
