The Lost doll

Maggie a little girl In North Carolina lost her first Barbara doll. Maggie Lost her Doll in 1944, after a nefarious Tornado.

Maggie was 7 year old when Barbara her favorite doll was blowing away in a fiery tornado. In the mid afternoon, without a warning a tornado sweep threw the little town her family lived in. Maggie family ran to the cellar. It seen like the storm lasted for ever, howling wind and rain pounded the door of the cellar. Maggie cried out in fear as her mother held her tight, telling her it would he OK.

I think the storm is gone her father went to open the door trying to push it open, he knew something was wrong, continuing to push the door open.

Oh my God Jane it's all gone. Maggie mother took her hand and followed her husband, we have no house Maggie yelled. I want my doll she cried, looking around for the doll but it was know where in sight. Tears ran from her mother's face at the thought of not having a home. Daddy and I will buy you a new one Emma, she cried.

Maggie knew she had to be strong, each night she cried for her special doll. Her mother keep her promise, giving her a new Barbara doll but it wasn't the same. She never forgot about her best friend Emma.

At the age of 27 Maggie and her daughter passed by a thrift shop,something caught her eyes, in the display window," oh my God she cried,"it was Emma..
