The Love Letter Written

The Love Letter

Her pen hit the paper with a little motion,

as she started the love letter

and she sprinkled in a ripple of emotion,

she stared briefly at the ceiling,

and then she wrote about the loss of feelings,

that were never really gone,

and she continued writing on and on,

simple words at times,

but powerful, and very strong,

she didn’t care,

giving her words a suspicious stare

from fawn colored eyes,

her words were caressed,

somewhat pampered,

deeply impressed,

when she read it,

the soft words became cries,

filled with truth,

hidden in a web of lies,

at first she was a little rusty,

some of the words used

were old and slightly dusty,

but she wrote it reflectively,

and she filled it with fear,

keeping the truth near,

immediately after she wrote it,

she collapsed into the nearest chair,

and lay back looking as if she were dead,

everything she wanted to say was said,

the ink rolled out wet and red,

it only took a few minutes then it dried,

the words would be prettier and had wings,

as her written thought stings,

sensitive but had the strength to persuade,

as the topic of love played,

like an impressive parade.
