The Love Wall

Updated on February 28, 2012
Word Wall
Word Wall

Why are we separated ?

What happened to you and me ?

it's something we thought

that we would never see.

A word wall was built,

with words hard as stone

this stone word separation

keeps us both alone.

something different we wanted

on what, we could not agree,

so we built a word Wall

that we refuse to see.

The wall is high and hard

like a pitcher would throw

so cold it sits between us

like it was covered with snow

I have tried to burrow under

like a tiny small worm

I have tried to knock it down

but the wall stands firm

Now we are on different sides

spread apart by this wall

separated by words,

that made our love fall

raciniwa, "what I was wall'in in or wall'in out". no wall can divide two souls if they are really in search of each other.

This is a great expression on communication failure. It should be memorized and shared whenever we find ourselves at odds with our loved one. Deep meaning and so appropriately said. Thanks for sharing. Voted up!

Great pictures for the topic. This can be applied as a sad truth about so many personal relationships as well as political matters. Cool hub.

      Michael,

I voted up, awesome and interesting. I love the title and the poem, however,it was a little sad.

You are so great at writing poems of lovers, and how they feel. I want to read another great love poem of yours.

      Your Hub Friend,

      Bobbi

Michael, it's a great poem, you put your words so well.

It's full of disappointment, sadness, pain and frustration from a relationship that's not working properly...

I voted up and awesome. Take care.
