The Lust Within The Romance

Updated on April 20, 2011

Immobilized
by the senses
the sensation
of touch

Mesmerized
by pictures
and visions
of us

Tantalized
by your scent
increasing
my heart rate

Engulfed
in your eyes
I simply
cannot wait

A kiss is a kiss,
unless it is yours,
for yours is a gift
that I simply adore

Don't wake me,
I'm sleeping
I know that
I'm dreaming

Don't catch me,
I'm falling,
and craving
just one thing

To be lost
in your arms,
in the nothing
of something

-----------------------------------------

-----------------------------------------------

Gentle exploration commences
meticulous touch entrances
methodical attention paid
to your body's lush expanses
my fingers eagerly wander
the landscape of your flesh
your lips, shimmering, invite me
to relieve their desperate longing
for slow, impassioned quenching
of the staleness of nerve endings
inhibitions tossed to the wind
thrown careless, spread and scatter
fantasies roam freely here
unconstrained by time and matter
two souls which separately embarked
on a journey of discovery
have crossed each other's paths, at last
as I draw you, willingly, to me
tonight, with you, I'll surely test
my abilities of pleasing
we'll let our bodies do the rest
to fulfill relentless instincts

Oh, Ben, how very true. You are on it as usual. Two poems, two views, I like it. I am the dreamer most of the time so the first time is very close to home and the second one is a lovely tickle tackle LOL Lovely!

Ah, that makes more sense. Two seperate poems; I liked them both individually, just not in that arrangement.

Hubpages varies. Sometimes everyone seems to be on and commenting, sometimes no one. Good to see you're still producing. Keep it up, even if the lack of enthusiasm from commenters is frustrating.

doug thanks for dropping by. Just so you know, they are 2 separate poems haha

I guess I should have specified that. The mood of each is so drastically different from the other.

I just decided to post them together.

Thanks for the comments bro, it's really nice to see them, considering hubpages seems to be basically dying off

Whoah, I just read Bella's comment and the font situation has my head spinning.

This was good. My only grievance is the size and font of the last stanza. The bold font is sort of jarring, and the largest stanza occurs in the last third of the poem, when the reader wants to be sliding down a hill, not doing the most climbing.

Just thoughts. Peace and keep on writing, Ben. I know you will; when it comes to writing, you have what Michael Chabon calls "the midnight disease".

Don't give it another thought except to know that it was and is my pleasure, Ben. I wasn't timing it - never do! I just wanted to catch up with your new things, each of which is unique & worth noting, so I did. :-)

Thank you all so much for your AMAZING words. I assure you, as busy as I am, it is just so wonderful to still be able to write in a few minutes of free time, and receive such awesome responses!

Nellie, you commented SO many of my Hubs, and I wish I could respond to each one individually, but all I can say is your support has meant a lot to me since I started on here. Thank you for taking all that time to read and comment them, I know it must have taken quite a while.

      :]

(As the 9th of your more recent hubs I've just been reading, it is the icing on the cake!)

Sweet! i love the first one "A kiss is a kiss,

      unless it is yours,

      for yours is a gift

      that I simply adore

      Don't wake me,

      I'm sleeping

      I know that

      I'm dreaming

      Don't catch me,

      I'm falling,

      and craving

      just one thing

      To be lost

      in your arms,

      in the nothing

      of something"

this was beautiful, "when dreaming is better than reality, then let me sleep for eternity." ~~Nikki J.

the second was more seductive, instintual, and passionate. i hope you pass the test!

Gentle sensuality is hard to transfer to the written word, and you have managed it, capably.

Beautiful Ben, i think you have chosen your words perfectly. It truly is the lust within romance.

      Wonderful.

      Voted up!

P.S: Been up all night working and it is 7 am and I am dead tired but I am thankful I was awake long enough to read and comment first. :)
