The Miracle of the Tiny Fly
What Waits upon the Wall
It was a most vital bill, to aid those in need,
by the congress to cast, on that special day,
the final votes all had passed, in the senate,
now in congress, was to be held in a delay.
The hesitant congressman could not decide,
as in the vote, so important for him to make,
A poor widow and her children, their lives,
in desperate need, their freedom, at stake.
A tiny fly, as by chance, in such consternation,
and to escape, this high drama, his motivation,
did buzz all about, just as the man did shout,
and then he flew right into his opened mouth,
As the man was now carried from his seat,
he spat and sputtered, of what he did eat,
the vote that counted, was never to be cast,
to defeat this bill, it would never be passed.
Upon a presidential signature, the bill, was verified,
and the badly needed aid, then, to be consented.
the veteran's family benefits, genuinely bonafied,
Providing a future, to be so wanted, not prevented.
The widow now saved, of an incessant war,
Her children were soon to be clothed and fed.
their vital needs, met at last, not as before,
Their lives now so happy, no longer of dread,
The fly did make his recovery, was well at last,
The befuddled congressman, recovered as fast.
with the fate of the many, before them that day,
Such a tiny insect, to have delivered the way.
