The Misunderstood Messiah

Updated on February 28, 2012

What is to be done...

in doing succeed...

when teachers come to plant the seed...

seek to ennoble the human heart...

show them the heights...

how to start...

marking the obstacles and adversaries...

cracking the whip at times to be frank...

showing the power of the road yet ahead...

what is to be done when all this is in vain...

we call them Gods or prophets...

whether or not this be true...

it doesn't matter...

their message was not themselves...

but one for me and you...

they were as they knew we could be...

expecting, hoping we would follow...

we placed them on a pedestal...

we set them be fore altars...

paid them lip service...

ignoring their pleading...

set teachers that kept us comfortable...

left the hungry bleeding...

institutionalized classes...

though most don't call them that...

what is wrong with our ears...

did those words of the mighty fall flat?

Most now say they are no more...

that they cannot come again...

they don't bother or plague...

closing books allow most to ignore them...

fools! life is not so simple...

those things most powerful are not easily ignored...

what do you imagine...

if one of their ilk appeared...

do you think your life would be adored...

we might try to silence them...

but it might be us who face the piper...

what will you do if came tomorrow that day...

awake, arise...

you knew that day was coming...

perhaps it is today...

or tomorrow...

in any event are you ready?

I am glad you liked it. It came out on paper as a complete thought.

This one really makes me sit up and take notice. Am I ready? Only God knows. I only hope I learn in time what I need to change in order to be of service when the time comes.

You are incredible, Jaggedfrost, yet in a very believable and inspiring kind of way.

      Thanks for another inspiring piece.

hillrider, that is one form of masochism, being around people and trying to teach those who may not be ready at the time. That being said, I have been blessed with some really good friends.

Dave M. I am glad you enjoyed this. I wish you the best as always.

Beautifully written, with your words I am smitten.

Your words of concern, cause my heart to burn.I see your desire, lose not your fire, to share and inspire.

There is nothing more you can do, to believe otherwise is an effort in futility...and as an aside, remember you control your own level of contentment.

whether prophet or poet, that we choose to be

the point of the words is to help others see

a message of truth, a love that is real

a moment in time or just what we feel

the point is KEEP WRITING continue to care

steadfast in commitment, continue to share

thoughts that you think that drip ink from the pen

and I will return here to read you again

JFrost- do you my man, the message will come through for those with "ears to hear and eyes to see"

    working
