The Mysterious Adam’s Calendar

Updated on June 12, 2013

by Christine B.

In South Africa an ancient monolithic stone structure was recently discovered. The structure is believed to be 75,000 years old, which predates any other structure ever found on Earth. Archeologists believe the structure to be a calendar, and they have named it, Adam’s Calendar because of its age and location. But, the obvious questions are who really built it and why?

There are an estimated one million ancient stone structures that have been discovered in Africa’s southern mountainous region. Throughout these ruins archeologists have found artifacts of coins, weapons, statues, carvings and tools that date back to over 200,000 years. These discoveries have lead scientists to believe that far more cultures originated from Africa than previously supposed. They now think that aside from the Egyptians, the Sumerians, Romans, Greeks, Arabs and Incas (among others) cultures also have their origins in Africa.

Another thing that amazes scientists is how massive this structure is. The monolithic edifice appears to have no entrance doors, and there seems to be a never-ending span of terraces that surround the structure that were apparently used for their agriculture.

The stones in the site are aligned with the north, south, east and west key points on the planet Earth and also correlate with the solstices and the Equinoxes. When mapped out the calendar was found to be still an accurate sun dial. Tools found on the site indicate that the original residents had a much better understanding of the laws of psychics than we have today. How did they learn these things?

When it was discovered in 2003 by Johan Heine it was dubbed Adam’s Calendar, but the African elders in the area call it “The Birthplace of the Sun,” or “Inzalo y’Langa,” which translates to meaning, where mankind was created by the Gods.

Also impressive, the site aligns by longitudinal lines with the Great Zimbabwe and the Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt. This suggests a universal connection with these other ancient sites, and therefore, with their civilizations. The Adam’s Calendar site is much older than these structures, however. Scientists and archeologists believe that this was the true “Cradle of Mankind;” and that cradle is much older than anyone ever expected it to be!

Thanks for the wonderful hub :) There are so many mysteries on Earth, it will take generations of archaeologists and scientists to uncover the mysteries of the human origins.
