The Night Will Wait For You To Cry

Updated on January 4, 2013

The afternoon is not the time our fears
The day is for smiling away our tears
The morning is the time for drying
The night will wait for your crying

A walk is not for the lonely
The sidewalk is for lovers only
Passing a garden of flowers
Is not the way to pass the hours

I believed in what we had
You asked me if I was alright
I said what do you want me to say?
That’s when I knew I would cry tonight

The afternoon is for raining
When the night can’t wait for praying
The morning will hide it’s light
When rain refuses the night

I believed in what we had
You asked me if I was alright
I said what do you want me to say?
That’s when I knew I would cry tonight

@Micky Dee - Sorry I didn't respond sooner man. Thank you and I hope all is well... I like that; "two can handle the weather"

@PDX - Thank you and it's great to see people pick out different lines that reach them. I appreciate it very much.

Nice job. Great use of rhythm, imagery and rhyme.

Yes sir. Couples do it best. One alone can walk the dog, but two together can handle the weather.
