The Night You Killed Us.

Updated on September 7, 2012

The night you killed us

Where we are

its very cold.

you took our lives

You've never told.

I was living my life

like any other girl.

You never said

you had a wife.

I had always thought

you were mine.

just us two

Free and clear to love

now I know it wasn't true.

I didn't see it coming

when you were told

that I was pregnant

your secrets exposed.

You planned my death,

So very well,

right on down to,

the last detail.

I thought we would be

a nice family.

Yet you were a monster,

that I couldn't see.

you were so big and strong

I was so very small.

It was a fight for our lives

I couldn't win at all.

Tell my family where I am

They just want me found

even tho they know

I won't be safe and sound.

I can no longer cry

you have silenced me.

The family I wanted

I would never see.

Give me back

to those I love

Tell them you killed us

off a cliff with a shove.

It's very cold

where my body lies

Where you left us

to our demise.

You walked away

and left us there.

For us to stay

that horrible day.

They'll come looking for me

you know they will

Then, they too will see

that it was you

who killed me.

Time for us to go home

you need to to do whats right

When you shoved us off that cliff

In the dead of night.

Shoving one off of a cliff ought to end the relationship.

Just out hub hopping and ran into "the night you killed us" How does one pass that by? Glad I did, enjoyed the read. Interesting how experiences come back to haunt the pages as we write. Sometimes our feelings from another day come to bleed again in words we could not speak the first time around. Anyway, be well, the poem is!

I'm not good at poems that don't rhyme, but you did a good job. Voting up!
