The Oceans, Our Alternative Universe.. (a poem of inspiration)

Updated on November 8, 2014
Beneath the waves, in deepest depths awaits our call,,,
Beneath the waves, in deepest depths awaits our call,,,
Inner universe at our door...
Inner universe at our door...
Bravely we shall explore both universes...
Bravely we shall explore both universes...
We shall overcome the storms...
We shall overcome the storms...
Great treasures to be found...greater than pirate's gold...
Great treasures to be found...greater than pirate's gold...
The walkway to our new success...
The walkway to our new success...

The oceans, so deep, where old pirates now sleep,

Sometimes as a daunting proposition, at its best.

In depths of some miles, to explore, as many trials,

May be deadly, or so demanding, as all do attest.

Atlantic, Pacific, Mediterranean, and more, to reach,

the vastness of each, in total abundance, we beseech.

The inner universe, does require greatest attention,

Much space, accommodates, and awaits, this dimension.

The ocean's widest floor, so deserves inspection more,

Bright fishes by the score, with treasures there, so stored.

All so interesting,in its colorful array, of sea life to display.

as an equivalent objective, our needs may be met, today.

The porpoise and whales fine call, understood, after all,

Each migration, and its special reason, to be solved.

Oil and rich minerals abound, as this earth turns around,

Just as important here, as the moon and planets, to revolve.

Our inner universe, oceans beneath us all, to await our call,

Down in the deep blue sea, a richer bounty, there to be.

Stolen under a Jolly Rogers flag, bought by a musket ball,

More of value than all the pirate's gold, under the sea.

What may await us beneath the blue waters of our seas...
What may await us beneath the blue waters of our seas...

And our universe will continue to call, until it is treated better.

The sea is our last stronghold and so important for our very survival on this planet. Perhaps it is not too late, only time will show this. whonu

There's a whole other world under the sea. Hopefully, we'll mend our ways and quit spoiling it.

      Whonunuwho,

Yep! I can still close my eyes and remember my first starfish I observed on the boulders by the ocean...your insights, as I read them brought me back to that visit - fine poetry does that!
