The Only Cure For This Is Paint

Updated on July 15, 2012

The only cure for this is paint

And a white canvas

Or a white wall

Or an entire white room

Yes an entire room would be perfect

I need to make a mess

A terrible mess

Of red and blue and purple and green

I need to paint with reckless abandon

Pictures and patterns and shapes

That no one will understand

I will get paint on myself

And on the floor

And on the ceiling

I will paint for hours and hours

I'll paint all my emotions away

All the sadness and pain

All the fear and anger and loneliness

Painting will cure me

And then suddenly I'll feel so much better

And all that will remain of this hurt

Will be a room

That's no longer white

Better still go down to Texas and spray a few cadillacs, or come here and we'll lend you a roller to do one or two of our walls. Voted up and funny!

Haha, sometimes cleaning works too! Although I'm not sure writing about scrubbing the toilet would have made for as good of poem:)

Great poem my friend! Beautiful way to describe the therapeutic aspects of using an alterior way to "get it out". Throw a little pink in there for me, will ya?
