The Only Reason

The love of my life, how great are thee

You can only read, what you mean to me

In the new fresh morning, I open my eyes

you are like the sun, lighting up the skies

You are the bright moon, in the dark night

to think that you aren't there, is my only fright

All men only want.... a woman like you

a woman who is there, to take away the blue's

to lift them up, when they are down

and bring a smile, when wearing a frown.

To be together.... you and me

enjoying nature, with the birds and the bee's

the world is ours... we are so free

this is what life.. is meant to be

for two people to live... so happily

never leave me my love, I would not survive

you are the only reason... I am alive.

A Rose

A Rose does grow so deep in my heart

I love my Rose... we will never part

I wait for my Rose...to bring her sweet scent

she means more than all the money

I have ever spent.....

Our love must be kept secret

between me and my Rose...

She reads of my love... in the Sweetest of Prose

Someday my Rose... will be together with me

and we will make love... and be so happy.

Love You Baby!!!!!!

Sweet and simple. And that's the way love should be. No complications or doubts.

Michael, it's a very nice poem with a beautiful expression of the depth of love..

But loving someone should not be the only reason we live and we should never feel that losing them would be the end of everything.

Love should be like good music that flows naturally..

Nicely expressed. To have a love like that is sublime. If one can find one's soulmate then all of this should come to pass. Twins locked and bound into each other's hearts and souls, the way it should always be. Well done, bravo and voted up.

Just checked out Linda Stokes. Very unique and a sharp eye for the unusual.

Sometimes a photo can add to a poem. I just noticed that you do that. Good idea.

Laura, my Rose, is with me in spirit, although she keeps me waiting. I know she thinks of me all the time. I write her poetry once in a while so she won't forget that i love her, and always will.

I can't imagine anything more romantic than a man writing poetry to the woman he loves. It beats flowers and candy, hands down.
