The Other Machiavelli

Updated on March 31, 2010

Petty Bourgeois’ and seasoned class punks

march this day and days the same

Exist in rot lined communes of the rich

and give them more with your name.

You lie, you cheat, and see a man

    blindly walk on empty streets.

Call him friend; call him foe, for he is scared

and runs with truth but his life is gone

A joke on you and me alike so that

we the people are kin and none apart

The rich, the pigs and Politician’s with their men

grow sick at our sight, even decadent

Hell’s a toil worthy of the work

and men grow old and deep and dank

That has been the state of man since man began

disheveled in trouble no honesty partaken

We the proletariat in order to establish

the truth, do ordain to the people

To be as they are, as individuals

    by their rights and obligations

Their self respect and discipline notwithstanding

or the evidence unreeled and chaste

We hold reality as our own

and all else unseen a blasphemy

In truth we hold the unions fair

second to man and judged by mobs

So that if one is to be as he is to be

then let no man rule another

Unless by force with force asunder

    that all may rule themselves
