The Other Side Of The Mountain

Updated on October 2, 2011

Life mingled in different color
Different view…different shape

Different size….different faith
Different hopes…different dreams…

Our world evolve in different opportunity
Education, success, and stress…

The clock is ticking…our life is moving forward
Not backward….

Like water falls down into the stream
Flowingly flow forward

It won’t come in reverse
To where it start…it will always go forward

Like life as we age…each number of years we add
Each number represent how long we live…

Our body age each day…
Our appearance become disgust and wrinkles…

Our faith continue strong…our hopes still moves on..
Our journeys complete a great stories

For our grandchildren, great grandchildren
Before our dying day…

Each one of us fear of death
Each one of us afraid of age…

Each one of us wish to be young…
And never turn old and gray

Each one of us wish to live long
Each one of us wish to be with family like an attachment to materials…

But we must know…that someday…we’ll die
But not alone…there is always someone else that is awaiting for us home on the other side of the mountain…

I think that is a wonderful poem. Nobody wants to get old, but moving forward is so true to life. You're right, there is always someone on the other side of the mountain waiting for us. I will see my mom when I die. But for now she is here in spirit.

Beautiful! True, nobody wants to grow old, but it's inevitable, but just think who we will see on the other side, all of our loved ones who have gone on to be with God. Happy day!!!!

Hi raciniwa, jfay, and Ruby, thank you so much for commenting. Yes, there is always someone on the other side of the mountain. A lot elders that I know tell me their fear of death and not ready for death because they are afraid to leave their children behind. But I always remind them that, why fear of death when everyone is going to the same direction sooner or later. There is always the people who we loved a lot waiting for us. Then soon more after we'll all reunite again.
