I wonder why?

Updated on November 23, 2016
Why?
Why? | Source

The Pain

Rolling down

Gushing forth

Pouring

Torrents

Non-stop

Without relent

Stabbing pain

Again and again

It really hurts

To know

You will never

See loved ones

Never again

The pain

I wonder why

Why

Do things happen

The way it does

It never is fair

The way life turns out

Hatred and violence

Hurt and pain

Loss of precious lives

Again and again

I am told

That God is there

To guard and protect

To love and care

Sometimes

I wonder

Where God is

Is God in heaven

Asleep in bliss?

I wonder

Oh Vellur, Sometimes i feel the same way. How could these terrible acts of terror be ignored, then i am reminded about the Jewish concentration camps, He gives us free will, yet we still wonder..Beautiful poetry...

You know I was thinking today how God loved David and David murdered men to get their women. He sure never loved anyone because they did their job good that I know of or because of who they were...He is a puzzle with His love but I would never want to be without it. That shows us too there is hope for us no matter what we have done. We will one day understand I know. To love Him in spite of our questions is our faith that will get us through. May be needing that soon from the looks of this world; to fight the fear.

He is there wherever we go and whatever happens. We finite beings cannot grasp fully His infinite Will and Wisdom. He runs His universe the way He deems fit. can also be a test and trial for some people.God allows some people to suffer in order to test their patience and steadfastness. Even God’s Prophets and Messengers were made to suffer. Prophet Job is mentioned in the Bible as a Prophet who was very patient. Good people sometimes suffer but their sufferings heal others and bring goodness to their communities. People learn lessons from their good examples. Martyrs die for their faith, soldiers give their lives for their nations and this brings liberation and freedom for their people.

      God knows best!

Many blessings to you.My warm condolences to the family of Bostonian victims.

Nicely written; and I imagine so many of us wonder "Where are God's eyes?" in hopelessness and despair - I have suffered very traumatic experiences and can say he is with us but unfortunately the ultimate demons that thrive in life regardless can and have; and most likely will always continue to thrive are too powerful for our dear "Lord." Bless you for posting this poem it is felt in the heart - Voted up...

"Why do the love ones have to die? Why people fight eachother", I asked my mom in the evening. It's the way of life she said, and all we can hope is that God is in control whether in our eyes it may be unjust and sad, God has special plans which we don't see. Anyway we all die someday, it's each person's choice, but when it's the time to go to the lavatory or cemetery, you have to go. I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one who think like this. God bless you!

Beautiful emotive poems, I guess we've all asked those same questions at different times in our lives. But if there was no joy there would be no pain, as hard as it is for us to let go, let go we must and the pain reminds us that we are still alive.

I'm not particularly religious, but I'm thankful for the gift of the people I love, no matter how short the time we spend together. This is though-provoking and interesting.

      Vellur,

It is amazing how I land on just the right hub. My better half lost his mom (an amazing lady) in December. She was not my mom, but I loved her very much and think of her often. This Mother's Day is going to be especially difficult. Your poem captures all of these emotions in a tender and thoughtful way. Thank You.
