The Paradigm of What Matters

By Tony DeLorger © 2013

It is not living that matters,

but what we're living for that defines us,

and having no say in our creation,

all we can be is what in our mind

makes us an individual entity,

one with purpose,

living within a paradigm

of our own choosing.

Life alone does not define us,

rather our choices within it,

how we respond and decide to act,

having to meet the challenges of life,

and in doing so,

what we experience and conclude,

about the complexities of our path

and sharing with others, this mortal existence.

The blessing of life is miraculous,

yet we take for granted what is given,

complain about what we lack,

and fight for what we believe is our right,

yet there is no right, no birthright, no guarantee,

simply a blank canvas on which to paint our life,

with all its striving, pain and joy,

in the circumstances we acquire through action.

The paradigm within which we base our lives,

is the very limits of our expectation,

the fundamental stage from which all thoughts and actions are launched,

and the scope of what can occur within our hopes,

simply, what we project as wanted,

is the pinnacle of what can be,

and what matters to us the core of that circumstance,

based on our own understanding.

How we think is therefore the passage to circumstance,

the parameters of which limit or extend possibility,

leaving us to conclude that any paradigm,

must be without limit or anything finite,

giving our thoughts freedom to explore

and forge new directions and opportunities as they arise,

broadening our viewpoint and experience,

honing our true wishes to fruition.

What matters is as individual as each one of us, and how we live our lives as vast as an endless sky.

Agreed Martin; those with all the power and money seem to continually make bad decisions that have such a negative impact on our planet and all of us.
