"The Patron Saint of Pain" by Eric Wayne Flynn

Updated on August 11, 2014

"The Patron Saint of Pain"

In a hot tub

A theme runs through my work

Jumping out into a cool blue pool

I wanna take a dip too

Skinny dipping with the birds and bees

Honey drips from the tip of you to the tip of me

Hold on to your stinger for the one you love

The one you lost

You lost for a reason

The patron saint of pain

Was it you, or was it me?

I have to say, I got the belt, it's in my room upstairs

Tucked away in a box

Glitter n gold, all stories be told

I'm the champ, but...

Sometimes when you win, you lose

Sometimes life gives us pause, we hit snooze

So we can dream one more dream or two

In a world full of dreamers, there is me, there is you

Kissing on our cloud

On our star

The one that died and ran out of gas

The one's we love teach us all we need to know

How to kill

How to lie

How to rollover

How to die

I'm the champ

The patron saint of pain
