The Political Plot

Updated on May 16, 2011

The Plot

Treachery's afoot

within castle walls.

An assassin whispers

to treason's calls.

The lust for power

brings evil amiss...

as a bravo defines

the last royal kiss.

By rubied dagger

or poison laced wine

the monarch shall meet

with his fated decline.

Political cleansing

is the name of the plot,

the only solution

to this Gordian Knot.

      attemptedhumour, a Gordian knot:

noun: an intricate knot tied by Gordius, the king of Phrygia, and cut by the sword of Alexander the Great after he heard that whoever undid it would become ruler of Asia

noun: any very difficult problem; insoluble in its own terms.

Thank you for your visit and great comment! The Other Boleyn Girl is one of my favorite movies, and I have read the book twice! I love that era of time...The Tudors was my favorite all time series as well! I will have to check out "Victoria"...again, thanks!

Darker than black, hang on you can't get darker than that. Wait, a short black, that's a bit darker, i think?

Have you seen, the other Boleyn sister or the young Victoria. Both right up your alley, i'd surmise. See ya. PS what's a gordian knot? I never did that one at scouts.
