The Potters Hands

Updated on October 25, 2010

Tick, Tock

 Tick, Tock

  Though why I bother

    counting motion cold, sure,

       each second no different

        but wait behind,

          marvel, see,

             they that were strong

                  not so to me.

                 They call me vapor

                     in solid form,

                        at mercy of man,

                  subject to change.

             They say I shrink

        when they do their worse

but though I melt

(some times more so then others)

I Am immortal.

Lasting past man's

measurement of life

from the observing glass

of falling sand,

the only thing I leave behind.

Life as an hourglass...their worlds being constantly turned upside down...Must be exciting, pouring one's life out every 24 hours...and then getting a new one...

Introduce some punctuation for poetic emphasis...The competing images work nicely, and the finish is perfect...I enjoyed this thoughtful prose, thank you, Larry

Nice wavy display of time's unknown way

we think we know what it is, or how to manage it, but it is far beyond our comprehension.

      good job, up, awesome
