The Children Of Sandy Hook/A Poem

Updated on September 21, 2014

The Children Of Sandyhook

For The Children of Sandy hook

Their lives were planned by God, from the moment of their birth, but they didn’t get to spend much time, here with us on earth.

We shared so much laughter, and saw the life in their eyes, but now we stand in shock, and ask ourselves why.

They were so small and innocent, like butterflies in the spring, how could twenty children suddenly wear angel wings?

The halls echoed with giggles, and the running of tiny feet, classrooms full of smilles, and eyes so curious and sweet.

So many birthdays that we will never get to see, proms, weddings, and grandkids, that now will never be.

How could someone so hateful cause so much pain, How can their lives be gone like mist in the rain?

In the aftermath of tragedy the children were taken away, but God has them all, and we’ll see them again someday.

      God Bless their Little souls

The things that happen to the innocent, only god knows

Let us all stay strong, and keep their memories open

For they are in a place, sweeter than the garden of Eden.

Thanks for a beautiful poem friend. Blessings
