The Red Brick Prison. Chapter V

Today was a good day, she felt as though she were on the cusp of something. As she gazed out of the same window she had stared out of so many times before, she felt something new, hopefulness, optimism.

The bright summer sun shone in through the open window and she felt excited! A fiend had invited her to a party that night, a rare chance to get out of the house and have some fun.

And as she looked forward to that night, a strange feeling crept over her, a feeling of restlessness, not the aching restlessness of living in her red brick prison.

It was an excited restlessness, as though something important was about to happen.

So as she left the house that evening to walk to the party, as theĀ breeze blew through her blonde curlsĀ and the sun shone down on her face, and bounced off the sequins that adorned her favorite blue dress, she smiled.

And prepared herself for something life changing...
