The Search (a Haiku by Whonunuwho)

Updated on June 23, 2014
Dear teacher you have listened.
Dear teacher you have listened.
These flowers are for you..
These flowers are for you..
for all you say and do.
for all you say and do.

Soon the search begins,

as each child in school transcends.

No mother at home,

a father, so wild, to roam.

Dear teacher hear me,

please listen to my one plea.

Attention means much,

while at school, I learn just such..

You are family,

I receive your love for free.

With your care I soar,

at this school, my open door.

Each flower represents a child you have helped, my dear friend.
Each flower represents a child you have helped, my dear friend.

Sadly, there are far too many children who only get love and attention at school. Thank goodness for those special teachers who truly love their students and want to make a difference!

A lovely tribute to a teacher. They help us find what we search for. Lovely lines.

This didn't happen so much when I was a kid, but I hear that it is pretty rampant now.

As a teacher of special needs kids for several years, I saw this happen a lot. This was my reason for staying in this field as long as I did. Thanks for your input my friend. whonu
