The talk show:

A couple of reporters of the "Late Evening Chat Show" had discussed the Secret Kisser and decided to have a talk show and see what came of it. They have a panel which does this regularly on all subjects and they brought them out but they had not told them the topic yet. As soon as they were told what the subject was they did not have any problem starting right up when the show began. After the panel had been going at it for an hour the director decided that it was time to open the phones.

As soon as they announced that they were taking calls and gave the number to call, 555-7171, the phones lit up. They had to bring in a few more of their crew to answer the phones because there were so many calls. On the air the announcer said, “Ladies, we may not get to you tonight and might have to have another show or two tomorrow night, or the next, or make this one longer tonight.”

Jim said, “The first caller tonight asks, ‘How can you say any negative things about him? He is harming no body.’ That is one vote for yes.”

Theona read one, “I have a caller who asks, ‘Why is he being put down?’ She does not say so but it sounds as if she likes him.”

Jim read, “This one says, ‘Has anyone at the station been kissed by him yet? Just wait until you are and you will know.’”

“That is three positive votes so far and judging by this pile I would say that these have already been looked at and this entire pile is positive”, remarked Theona.

“Well”, looking at his Jim responded with, “So does mine.” Looking up at the camera, “We get the message women. All women seem to like him. Have there been any men calling in?” He covered his mike while he spoke softly to someone who walked on camera. When the other guy left he removed the hand from his mike and said, “Hang on. We just received a call from a woman who says, ”Even though he wears a white mask and harms no woman I still do not like him. I just have not figured out why yet'. So that is a stack of phone calls for him and one call against him.”

What comes next?

After the previous show (on Tuesday) ended they were discussing among themselves how it went. They finally voted to have another show with five guests from the callers that they previously had. They would choose five women from the stacks of comments they received. After they selected the women, then they would decide on what night the show would be.

They had chosen the four women but only had their first names. On the show following all of that work they announced the first name and the comment made by them. The women phoned in and wanted to remain anonymous but said they would do the show only they would rather not even their first names were used on it.. The women were all told that it was Friday at 8 PM and they all said that they that could make it.

How will the second show do?

On Friday at 8 PM it was time for the show with the four women who began to show up showed around 7:39 PM. By 7:52 PM they were all there and had been sent to the makeup room to be prepared for the show. When they came out onto the stage they were wearing a happy smile no one in the studio had seen before, but it was too late to ask them. The panel turned to the cameras and realized that the women on the camera crew also had these same smiles. What was going on?

“Good evening everyone. Tonight we have four women who phoned in a few nights ago and have volunteered to come in and give their opinions about the masked kisser. They all wish to remain anonymous and not even use their first names so we gave them name tags #1, #2, #3 and #4 for their convenience. Number one we will begin with you. Please describe – in your best words – what it was like and how it felt to you.” The cameras zoomed in closer on her.

No. 1 replied, “Um, well, the only time was really a surprise to me. My boyfriend and I had just come out of a restaurant and I was waiting for my boyfriend to fetch the car when it happened. I thought that it had been him so when he showed up with the car I made a remark about it and he just laughed. He told me that I was dreaming but I knew that I was not. How did it feel? Well it made me feel warm inside. My lips had this soft, loving feeling.”

“How about number two, what was yours like? “

After looking up to the ceiling for a bit while she was thinking, number two glanced back down and responded, “To me it was like being in front of a warm, crackling fire while he poured me a glass of wine. It was more mysterious to me because he still had his mask on.”

At the cameras, “So now we know that he wore a black mask. Next we listen to number three.” Turning back to the women he said, “#3 you are up.”

She told him, “First it was a white mask – not black. Second – I am against him instead of for him. I believe that he should pay for what he has done – whatever it is.”

“What did he do?”

“I have not figured it out yet but as soon as I do, then he will be sorry.”

“Number 4, every one has been talking or whispering among each other and out loud but we haven’t heard a peep from you all night, any opinions?”

“I do have things to say. I am a psychologist who now and then takes a walk along the boardwalk to breathe in the fresh sea air and walk off my problems which have built up. Now, I could always give my outside opinion on him but I have actually been kissed by him when leaning on the boardwalk railing one day. I have studied men and women and their search for mates. When he kissed me it was warm and loving and I got the feeling that he was searching for the right woman who would love him as much as he loved her. So I believe that is the reason for which he is doing this.”

Jim thought about what had been said so far and then asked, “Number three – you had said that he wore a white mask and you have listened to what the others have said, yet you are still against him. Why?”

“Because even though I have been kissed myself I still believe that he is guilty of something which has not been proven yet.”

Jim – “How did it feel when he kissed you?”

“I did not feel what the other women have felt and described tonight.”

"Okay ladies one final question. This is directed to all of you and is a 2-part question. After I ask it then I will go to each of you for your answers. It is this: A) Do you have any objections to the previous events; and B) Would you want it to occur again? Think it over while I start with number one for her answer, keep it short."

"What are your feelings on this #1?"

"I have no objections at all to my previous kiss and I would definitely want it to happen again and again", she said with a big smile.

"Number two what are your thoughts/feelings?"

She replied, "I had no ojections to the first kiss and after that he can do it as often as he likes."

"Do you have any feelings or opinions on it #3?"

"I did not feel a thing but once is enough for me."

"Last we have to hear how 4 feels."

"I had no objections to the first kiss but he was not my type so once was enough."

"Thank you ladies."

Looking at the cameras as they zoomed in on him, Jim said, “Well folks you have heard it here. Live. Viewing the clocks on the wall our show is almost over.” Facing the women as the cameras zoomed back out he said, “Ladies, we used our time for asking the questions. Now it is time for you to discuss tonights questions and answers among yourselves. I do say ‘discuss’ – not to raise your voices.”

For the next ten minutes the women were chatting among themselves, basically #1 chatted with #2, and #3 spoke to #4. At the end of the talk show the credits rolled down the screen to show the names of the staff and employees.

The next day at the TV channel:

About 5 minutes after 10 in the morning there was a knock at Jim’s makeup room door. The door opened and Theona walked in and told him that so far today nothing but positive calls for ‘the kisser’ from viewers who saw the show last night.

Jim responded, “At least we know we had viewers on last night’s show. The question is how many. We will see whether there were any viewers from last night who are against him.”

Neither. The women were simply mesmerized by the kisses which they had received in the past. Especially talking about the incidences again - they brought up so many memories. He had them under his spell you could say.

Seems to me that the secret kisser has something to do with either the TV show, or may have kissed these women again before they got to the show...

There was a turn in the story because this was a bit of a dare that I could not do this and I am waiting to see the reply from that commentator on how this segment turned out.

In a way I have an idea how part of it is going to end Randall but I have not looked into writing it since it seems far off.

Thank you for viewing this and I am glad that you enjoyed it.

      Have a nice day. :-)

Nice turn in the story. While I don't want to know the ending, nor expect you to reveal it, I can't help but wonder, do you have an inkling as to how this story will end, or are you waiting for it to come to you? Again, another great story Kevin.

Thank you for stopping by and reading John, I am glad that you enjoyed it. Thank you for telling me to proofread it too. I did that before I published it but I was in a hurry to publish between the weather (severe T-storms today) and wanting to get it done. Thank you for the vote up.

      Have a nice day. :-)

Thank you Faith. This one was sort of a challenge due to a comment which I received on my previous segment that is why there was a 'twist' to it.

The original version of that song was a favorite of mine too. I listen a radio station that began playing only the live version of it. Too fast for me.

I appreciate the pin and share.

      Have a nice day. :-)

This was a great twist to the story! I loved having the women interviewed, it certainly adds another layer to "the kisser". I have to admit I was intrigued by the psychologist's interpretation. Can't wait to read more.

      Voted up, awesome, and interesting.

This was another interesting "Secret Kisser" installmen't Kevin. I liked the idea of the talk show and interviewing women who had been kissed and it will be fun to see where you lead us from here. (you need to proofread this hub..there are a few places where it seems you have changed the sentence structure and haven't deleted some words etc.. ) still I enjoyed it and voted up.

      Hi Kevin,

What a creative twist here with the talk show of all those having been kissed by the secret kisser.

You still have us wondering about this secret kisser.

I've always loved that Charlie Daniels Band song. I just happened to be in Atlanta one time visiting my mom, little sister and brother and we all went to a laser light show on Stone Mountain. It was great because the Charlie Daniels Band was there and they played "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" along with the laser lights. Really cool.

      Up +++ pinning and sharing

      Bless you
