"The Setting" by Eric Wayne Flynn

"The Setting"

This landscape

That line

That is

The horizon upon which we walk

Thee kiss of thee tongue

Passion, is what we talk

What we write; based upon language, that we already know

Rhythms and pitches passed from the past

Reflecting energy upon the show

Diving down deep, here it is, here we go

Into the setting

The repeated fall of the sun

Rising back, reaffirming colors and shapes

Creating something to possess

To behold

To belong

To be little

To be grateful

To be blessed

To be

A question, the backdrop, a dark night, the come up, a bright sun

A defiant radiance bouncing from off our eyes

A shape shifter in the 3rd Act

Transgressioning through time

Passing the baton

Turning another page

In the book

In the brain

In the flesh

In the setting
