The Seven Deadly Sins (Poetry by GalaxyRat)

Updated on June 30, 2017

GalaxyRat is fond of rats and writing. And dark poetry. She knows that people don't like all these things together... but who cares?

"I am Pride,

I cause one to walk with his head held high."

"I am Lust, take heed,

I cause a man to wish after the one who doesn't carry his own seed."

"I am Greed, the one of which you may not address,

I cause one to want what the other may possess."

"I am Gluttony, the opposite of sharing,

I cause one to forget the importance of caring."

"I am Anger, all you see is red,

I cause one to spit fire wherever you may tread."

"I am Sloth,

I cause one to be drawn to laziness like a moth."

"I am Envy, you feel me in little stabs,

I cause one to want what he cannot have."

Great poem on The Seven Deadly Sins. Nicely done in rhythm and description. Very enjoyable, even though it explains The Seven Deadly Sins. Excellent reminder!

Personally, I have never seen it, but I may. Thanks for commenting, John!

I liked this! If you've never seen the movie, that was good as well. Scary psych thriller.

You covered all seven sins adequately in just a few short lines, Galaxy. Good job. Loved that movie "Se7EN".
