The Writers Spark...

Updated on September 1, 2013

I looked the devil in the eyes and he would not back down,

I warned him .. do not try... to take my heart

and spin my soul around

For the Lord has told me of your weakness...

for dark passionate looks

So lets fight this battle now..

and make it one for the history books

It was a hard fought battle ..

as we both lay ...wounded and hurt

and kicked up all the dust there was,

which filled our wounds with dirt

Quite randomly.. the trivial

collides with the monumentous,

sometimes it's only a spark,

for the poet... who often is a nightingale...

just singing in the dark

Great job on this one. It truly is one for the history books. or a Poet's hall of fame. It shows courage and a will to survive, you have the fighters spirit in you, and the lovers.

Another dramatic piece here! Yes, we can be victorious over the enemy when we do put on that full armor of God, for the enemy has already been defeated, but he will attempt to whisper those false imagination in our minds to bring us down to his level. I almost used that very image in one of putting of the full armor of God hubs. Up and more

      God bless you, Faith Reaper

Voted up and awesome. I refuse to even mention the name of the defeated. Christ has done it all. He died on the cross for humanity. 'it' has NO power. That is what 'it' is...an 'it' only. Thank you God for loving us so much that You gave us the free gift of salvation.

You are SO correct...it is the trivial colliding with the monumentous.

The way you shared this is just so creative and phenomenal. God bless.
