The Spirit Returns!

Updated on April 12, 2017

Besides the normal day-to-day natural happenings , there are several supernatural forces that are ruling dominantly on our earth of which we are unaware. These are invisible forces whose hands are stronger than the strongest men on earth. Most of the time they may roam right in front of our nose, but we fail to visualize them.

They are the “ unsatisfied spirits”, who were once alive on this earth, but now are being called spirits. Because the were dead once upon a time , though unwillingly, due to some unfortunate mishaps. For this they couldn’t live the life that they probably could have lived, enjoyed the pleasures that they deserved. Fate pulled them into the darkness of death .But the immortal soul wanders about in the same place in thirst of the happiness that he or she was deprived of. Or deep in the core of the soul lies the rebellious spirit to take revenge on the person responsible for his or her unsuccessful, unfulfilled life.

Labella's spirit

Pretty girl Isabella

fast asleep on her bed,

when suddenly she felt

a hand upon her head.

Then came storming,

a sharp, shrill shriek,

Isabella opened her eyes,

frightened as a freak.

Her well-known room

appeared formidably mean,

as if being watched

by hidden eyes, keen.

She sat up on her bed ,

scared to death,

her voice was chocked,

she held her breath.

Then came streaming

smoke cloudy white,

suffocating her room,

blinding her eyesight.

Her heart was pounding

hundred times a minute.

She was scared as a cat

beyond any limit.

Then she stood on her feet,

though utterly disinclined,

her hands were trembling ,

her fear undefined.

Then a harsh , sad tune

echoed in her room,

hypnotized by the music,

she was immersed in gloom.

She left her room

as the melody blares.

With hands by her side

she walked downstairs.

She suddenly felt a hand upon her head

Being scared Isabella sat up on her bed

Following the tune Isabella walked downstairs

She was out of her room

when the music was gone.

She found herself standing

in the dark , haunted lawn.

It was only then

she regained her sense.

She was unable to scream,

with emotions intense.

Then occurred something,

fearfully weird.

A full-fledged structure

suddenly appeared.

There stood Labella,

eyes streaming in tears,

she was her sister,

dead since two years.

Isabella went out of her house into the lawn where the spirit appeared

Memories came swarming

in black and white flashback.

Over the years Isabella,

felt her sister’s lack.

Two years ago,

one fine morning,

Isabella and Labella

were fiercely fighting.

It was a petty thing

to be fought upon.

Though the two sisters

had mood switched on.

Out of mere anger,

Isabella took a knife pin,

into Labella’s neck

she pierced it deep in.

Vibrated the entire house

in Labella’s scream,

blood came oozing out

like an incessant stream.

She didn’t intend to kill,

it was her childish act.

But Labella was dead-

this was the fact.

Everything started coming to Isabella like a flashback- the two sisters ,Labella and Isabella were fighting.. and then out of anger Isabella killed Labella

Her pulse stopped throbbing,

Labella’s face became pale.

To Isabella it seemed

like a terrible tale.

Like a practiced killer,

she tied the body in a sack.

Then immersed it into a river ,

so that nobody could track.

Labella was dead, even before Isabella had realized that she had killed her

But over the two years,

Isabella regretted for this.

Her loving sister ,

she truly did miss.

Now Labella’s spirit

stood in her front.

Isabella didn’t have a face

to closely confront.

Isabella apologized ,

plunged in guilt.

But in revenge the spirit

was now strongly built.

‘I will not leave you’,

screamed Labella’s spirit.

No way to escape ,

Isabella knew it.

Isabella tried to run,

but her courage fails.

By that time her neck was

pierced with Labella’s nails.

She shouted for help,

cried in pain.

But Isabella’s succor

helplessly went in vain.

Labella's spirit now kills Isabella

There was no one to hear

her mournful sound,

Isabella fell flat,

dead on the ground.

Isabella’s blood

fulfilled the spirits heart.

Labella’s unsatisfied spirit

now satisfyingly depart.

Labella's thirsty spirit satisfied after taking revenge on Isabella

The spirit departs

What the spirit thinks

Nice absorbing and intriguing poem! The story of spirits are interesting indeed and you narrated it with precision. Loved the corresponding pictures and rhymes.

And yes sibling's fights can take a very ugly turn in real life, I agree. They love each other immensely and can hate each other immensely as well.

Well done and keep it up!

Thanks for sharing and thanks for the follow!
