Sri Chinmoy sings a birthday song

Love Your Cute, Sweet and Charming Spirit.

Rochelle | Source

Rainbows emerge from the firmament,

In a kaleidoscope of violet crimson and myriad hues.

Butterflies spring forth from their cocoons,

Gleaming and surrendering, to the grandeur

And virginity of new birth.

Amidst all this, the sun; moon and other elements,

Cradles them like a peerless Light,

Sustaining the vitality of the Earth.

The ant moves diligently; assiduously,

Creating a matchless molehill.

While, void of hope,

The drunkard sinks in despair and loneliness,

Unaware of an illumining longing,

Shining radiantly in his forlorn Heart.

Ever brightly, Your emergent splendour burns,

Entering and pruning, like a florist,

All my gross desires and expectations,

Merging and fusing, like the candle and its flame.

You dance in the heavens and netherworlds … the six directions;

Become my injuries and my pain.

Yesterday I was invited,

To the renewal vows of my parents in Heaven.

At ninety nine and one hundred,

The lustre of Your beauty,

Still gleamed sweetly from their eyes;

Their hands entwined, as if born conjoined twins.

O Love, Sweet Majesty, my Absolute Beloved Queen,

You who initiate all conscient and inconscient energies,

You perform Your sacred and deathless Sacrifice,

For the Spirit of Creation.

Excepts from Sri Chinmoy's writing's on a Birthday

“Each birthday is a new awakening. Each birthday is a new hope. Each birthday is a new promise. Each birthday is a new fulfilment….

Each birthday is a tune, a melody of the universal music. Each individual is also a melody of the universal music. The seeker grows and grows in his music, which he can hear with his soulful ears. The very presence of the soul-child inside us is what grants us a taste of the universal music…

Each birthday is a petal of a flower. The flower, petal by petal, blossoms and then it is ready to be placed at the inner shrine in the aspiring heart…

At every moment, God, the Author of all good, celebrates the seeker’s birthday.”_ Sri Chinmoy.

Ha ha. Funny. Yes, I always say this. One of the branches or steps of Maslow's Hierachy of Human Needs. Helps to feel appreciated. I truly appreciate you, Shauna. Keep on keeping on!

Manatita, I had to go back to work outside the home. I've got nearly 30 years experience in construction accounting. I've landed a job with a company that builds assisted living and memory care centers. It makes me feel good to be associated with a company that's responsible for creating state-of-the-art, gorgeous settings for our senior population. I love the way they operate and their core values are very compatible with mine. Plus, they think I'm the cat's meow and let me know it. It's nice to be appreciated.

Yes, yes! Do what you love; what gives you joy. So important! I'm happy for you. Your office? What do you do? You know, I have a friend with a gift shop. She sells crystals, tiny inspirational books, cute gifts, some healing therapy objects, etc Good on Ya! Thanks Shauna.

Manatita, I'm doing well. Just a little side-tracked with setting up my new office. I've been checking out resale shops looking for those items that speak to me. I love decorating! I'm a happy camper who's letting another side of her (that has been put on the back burner) thrive and am having loads of fun doing it.

Missed you! Thank you so much, my Dear Shauna. Hope all is well. In fact I was going to write to you, but I remembered a loving letter that you had sent to me once, filled with hope and promise. Joy and Peace.

Such wonderful symbolism, Manatita! I love the youthful joy in the departed's eyes; the life of their precious child still gleaming beyond this Earth. You've given Rochelle a cherishable birthday gift.
