The Stain of Love

Updated on March 15, 2012

How did this stain appear on me

it's a stain on my heart

how could I not see

it's a stain of love

that you put on me

I can't get your stain off

it has soaked in to deep

right through my clothes

this stain did seep

My heart doesn't like it, this ugly stain

it sure isn't empty, it's full of pain

Although I endure, this stain of pain

I have even tried to run into the rain

hoping it will wash off my stain

Now you have heard, as I tried to explain

the pain, the rain, and the stain

I used these words to wash you

from my heart, taken off this stain

released the pain.... yes we did part

but it was good and gave me a new start

      I have felt that...

Not a good place to be, though the end brings a hope into it and I have felt that too!!!

This one rhymes and expresses your thoughts well. Sad, but ends on a hopeful note. Voted up.

A New Start can be Rewarding as well as Painful...but sometimes oh so very necessary for Survival of the Heart. Very Strong and Poignant a read Cleaner...Beautifully said.
