The Stillness Of Time

Updated on June 16, 2014

Where Were You When...

t feel the same feelings

I sat yesterday waiting

The time ticked on past

I was sure there was no change

Everything looked the same

My face and whole body

Everything in my view

As I closed my eyes to take a nap

My alarm was set to wake me up exactly the same time tomorrow

The alarm sounded like a single gunshot fired in the air

Little by little my eyes opened curious to what they would see

The clock on the wall read the same as before I drifted off

An overhead light left on

Burning bright as the sun

So today I did an experiment

To see if I could feel my own body age

Just maybe see something else grow old too

All my results are the same

There is no way of knowing

What has happened or where I have been

Since last time we met

So back to sleep

I will try this one more time

All over again

Voted interesting. A food for thought : Changes are inevitable by adding higher number years to our journey. Soon as we realize,we take charge; For some reason it appears to me my age 29 as interesting to be. At certain point my son has congratulated to my 49th anniversary of 29th birthday. We have choice to determine where we want to be in soul and spirit , helping our body do keep up…

      Have a nice day.

Sometimes time feels a slow move when you are not in action.

You know that is odd. I don't think that we get older by the minute or hour etc. I also think we don't really get older every year. Just the number of our age changes. As long as we keep thinking young and we don't let age influence us.
