The Sun is Mocking

Updated on July 24, 2012

Another day

Another smile

Another night

Another trial

To try and sleep

Away debris

Of broken hopes

And shattered dreams

An finally when you settle down

Only silence can be found

Growing louder just to haunt you

Sneaking in your dreams to taunt you

And in the morning when you awake

You open your eyes and start to take

In the realization that

You are stuck

Right where you're at

Your life has stopped

Your friends moved on

And you are forced

To face the dawn

The sun peaks over

To laugh at your pain

To mock the chemicals

That aren't in your brain

Because he can shine

And you cannot

So all you're left with

Are your thoughts

Of happy how you can't be

And how you never will be free
