The Survivalist: A Soldier Not Welcome Home
U.S. Marine Corps
M27 Infantry Rifle (Marine Issue)
Chapter 1: Serving with Pride
Arthur was 18 when he first signed on to be a Marine and he was as proud as it gets of his role in life. He always stayed in top condition and he was very sharp mentally. After 6 years of service he advanced up the ladder quick and his shooting skills were virtually unmatched. A company man, so to speak, because he did everything by the book and he really cared about his country. Trained by his father to be a soldier and a man who can live life on the land of the earth, Arthur was strong and fit and in all honesty, this guy is a real-life John Rambo.

Chapter 2: Innocent but Guilty Anyway
Staff Sergeant Honeycutt was leaving the gym on the grounds and he witnessed one of his superiors along with a petty officer assaulting a nurse on base and they were not allowing her to escape or scream. Honeycutt knew he had to report the incident ASAP so he did so. Sergeant Honeycutt went to sleep that evening feeling like he did the right thing and he slept well. When he woke up all of his world changed.

Chapter 3: Escape Clause
After being accused of attempting to steal military weapons for street sale, which is ridiculous, Honeycutt was stripped of his title and arrested. After 3 weeks in the military jail he was finally loaded up and being transferred before the courts outside of the base. During the transfer, Arthur dislocated his bones and took his handcuffs off. Two officers were in the truck cab and two were in the back with Mr. Honeycutt. As the truck picked up speed on the interstate, Arthur Honeycutt threw a left hook with his cuff open and it stuck in the soldier's neck, dropping him to the ground in pain. The other guard jumped up and was knocked out cold by a wild headbutt from the disgraced serviceman. The guards stopped the truck but Honeycutt had already kicked the door off the hinges and did a jump and roll. The guards were left scratching their heads.
Chapter 4: Packing on the Run
The main concerns now became getting what you need and altering your appearance. Mr. Honeycutt ran full speed, leaping fences as fast as possible before reaching the back of a mall, some 3 miles from his escape. After grabbing some clothes, glasses, shaving cream and a razor at Walmart, Arthur retreated to the bathroom and changed clothes and shaved his head. Then he put on the reading glasses and left the store looking like a different man.

Chapter 5: Living in the Wilderness
A big cave was situated in a far corner of the forest but the entrance was blocked. The Marine began pulling the logs and limb debris from the front of the cave. He made a small hole and crawled through and then pulled his backpack in. After covering the cave back up, Arthur turned on his head light, pulled his .45 from its holster and started deeper into the cave.
The Law Checks All Leads
Chapter 6: The Manhunt Intensifies
It has been nearly six months since he escaped but law enforcement knows he stayed in his city because two sighting on camera have placed him in his home surroundings. Dogs have been constantly checking wooded areas and the Marshalls have been searching neighborhoods around the clock to no avail.
A credible cell phone photo and video footage was captured by a hiker that showed Arthur fishing in the river bank near his cavernous home.

Chapter 7: Cornered
Numerous days of planning and preparation have led law enforcement to the edge of a forested area covering 300+ acres. They now have the former Marine cornered in a cave. 15 lawmen uncover and enter the cavern with guns drawn. Canines are not being used because this is a surprise attack and hopefully it will equal a peaceful resolution. The boys in blue did not understand that Honeycutt had the cave rigged at all turns with all kinds of traps. Two bear traps were in the cave near the very back where Arthur slept at night. several rope noose traps were constructed, miraculously inside the cave and latched to the cavern ceiling, by Marine Honeycutt. Fishing wire was set up all over in order to trip the enemy. Anyone who tripped on these wires would have a crudely connected set of fireworks explosions combined with lots of smoke which was a type of alarm and a chance for Arthur to break away.
Within twenty minutes one of the police officers was screaming as his ankle got lodged into a bear trap and 2 detectives were hanging from their ankles by a noose rope. As the bear trap was pried back and the cop taken out of the cave, an enormous explosion occurred from a US Marshall tripping over a rigged fishing line. Arthur ran to his makeshift ladder as two officers were in hot pursuit. Arthur turned back and pulled out his pistol, emptying the clip. One officer was shot and the other hid behind a huge rock. "Bye boys", Arthur said as he slid out the secret exit to the cave.

You Can't Catch Me
Mr. Honeycutt narrowly escaped the whole fiasco but he did get away. Arthur knew his looks were now seen, so he jogged through his prepared route for 2+ miles and then he came to an area and started moving dirt and leaves until tree limb type of homemade slats were uncovered. Arthur moved the wood and reached into the big hole and pulled out a wheel. He kept straining until he finally got the entire dirt bike out. The motorcycle cranked on the first try and Honeycutt zoomed off through the woods, stopping only once. Arthur Honeycutt got off of the dirt bike a block before exiting the woods. Two trees were rigged, well one was already half fallen but Honeycutt aided the other one. He pushed the tall trees and they fell in the center of the only half road this forest has.
Arthur went in a wig shop asking about wigs for his wife but when the clerk went to the back to get some other wigs, Arthur left with 4 wigs for himself. The local news received a call from a man claiming to be Arthur Honeycutt (Burner Phone) and he wanted it to be known that he is on the run for exposing a high ranking official's criminal actions and that he has done nothing wrong.
Nearly one year into his choice to live off the grid, Honeycutt was actually taking it easy and he has four different spots that he calls home. Having said that, the government and its military had one final chance to fully drop all charges or risk Mr. Honeycutt making them look like fools forever. No answer or offer ever came and nobody ever seen Arthur Honeycutt again even though he mixed and mingled with people in his town shopping for groceries and such. He is a master of disguise.
