"The Switch" by Eric Wayne Flynn

Updated on August 14, 2014

"The Switch"

?

To turn it on

Flip it off

Turn it on again

The switch

The one that can tear down a wall in a single flick

In the back of your mind, it's tough to find

The switch

Coated n scars, wrapped in flesh, wrapped in goo

The switch is buried somewhere inside of you

The link to the person you used to be

The switch is a decision, it's electricity

A bolt of lightning

A whisper in the dark

A shock to your system

You say, how can this be true?

It is, if you believe a switch lay inside you

Can you be the light you want to be?

Can you be the light you want to see?

First, you must search for the switch in order to find it

I've been on my journey, look at me, I done finally found it

Yep, here it is, covered n flesh n scabs n soars as the legend foretold

Turn on your switch, you'll see, you'll never grow old

In the mind, in the heart and in the soul

Seeing the bright side

Is just a lie

A fully realized idea

A choice

A voice

A practice

An equation

We, all a part

Calculating

Weighing things out

Seeing the outcome

Not having a care

Living life with a shit eating grin

In a chair laughing in the sun

Together, laughing, together as one

From a green patch of grass

He looks up to the sky and gives the sun a wave

For this switch was a difficult one to find, especially when flicked from a cave
