Gypsy Rose Lee takes Michelle on a roller coaster ride!

Love all animals especially cats. Love nature and the world, happy things, colorful things… +
When I first met Rasma, Gypsy Rose Lee, I was fascinated by her name.
She was one of the sweetest and calmest hubbers I ever met.. When I would get upset, Rasma would always remain calm.
I asked Rasma if Michelle the Roving Reporter could fly out and visit and interview the famous Gypsy?
Meeting Michelle at the Airport the first thing she did was to take Michelle to the fair.
What a ride. They rode so much Michelle thought she was going to get sick.. She was doing a lot of praying. the roller coaster was one of the largest in the world.
Gypsy took Michelle dancing with the autumn breeze in the autumn song..
Michelle was dancing her heart out and Gypsy was laughing at silly Michelle.
Gypsy grabbed Michelle's hand and told her wait till you see, it’s a surprise!
Gypsy took her on a ride on a Gypsy Caravan around the world of Gypsy’s!
“Michelle, I have a tale for you!”
Gypsy sat Michelle down and started weaving her web of tales. It was so fascinating
I was born in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, New York. I loved the area because it had a sort of small hometown atmosphere. At the time a lot of Scandinavian and of course Latvian people lived there. Not far from our apartment was the shoreline from which we could see Manhattan's skyscrapers and take walks along the water. Lots of trees and green grass everywhere. A wonderful park called Owl's Head Park where my dad used to take me to play. Lots of memories associated with this area. It is one of the places I miss lots from New York. In 1994 my first marriage was coming to an end and my mom was in her 80s and she wanted to go back to her homeland. She was born in Riga, Latvia. So considering her age I changed my life around and we moved to Riga. Same house where I live now out in the suburbs. It was the right decision as mom died two years later not having reached her 85th birthday. I also met my soul mate Martin here so that was another blessing and of course most of you have been introduced to our wonderful adopted cat Sid.

I got my love of writing from my dad Eriks Raisters who was a famous Latvian writer and poet. One of the most precious books I still have is a book of children's poems that my dad gave me on one birthday. I must have been 7 or 8. Being an only child I always had a very vivid imagination and writing was a great outlet for all I had bottled up inside of me. It of course continues to today.
My inspiration comes from what is around me, what I see, from my feelings, as always my imagination and of course from my faith in the Lord.
My favorite authors are many and varied. I guess one real favorite is Edgar Allen Poe. Love horror movies and such so of course Stephen King and from romance Danielle Steele among others.
A long time ago, one book got published through one of those publishing companies where you pay to get published. This was before the popular age of Internet. It never gained popularity, was never the greatest thing to be written but surprisingly enough it has found its way online and under my name Rasma Raisters "Haunted Love". Since I myself realized that it was not exactly the greatest book to hit the market and since I feel it isn't very well written I've just let it be. I don't think novel writing is my area of expertise.
Now Michelle, you know you are on my list but to list all of those wonderful hubbers who I admire and who influence me and whose hubs I enjoy reading well it would just take forever and I don't want to leave anyone out. Let me just say you all must know who you are because I'm always commenting on your hubs and always warmly receiving your replies and comments. Love the Hub Page community and love all the hubbers who have become my friends.
Actually I have no writing style. Once I get inspired it all just comes pouring out and when I'm done then I consider the pictures and videos that would complement my present work.
Those who have recently joined Hub Pages I can say just go with the flow. Write about what interests you; about things you know and express yourselves in your own personal way. From the comments and followers you begin receiving you'll soon see if you need to add anything, change anything or if you're fine just the way you are. Everyone at Hub Pages is always ready to offer a helping hand.
Well I'm a big dreamer and I always like to look at things through rose colored glasses. Clouds must all have silver linings and there must be more smiles than frowns. I'm sorry that we can't all pass the love for each other all around the world and that there is so much hate and violence in this life.
I love music and the music I listen to also goes by my moods. If I was really upbeat I'd probably listen to Springsteen but I love a whole bunch of different kinds of music. My favorite music comes from the 50s, 60s, 70s and even the 80s. After that it depends on the type of music and artist. So if you're going to post a music video give me one of my all-time favorites - Glory Days.
Bruce Springsteen, Secret Garden
“What is my favorite thing to do?”
That also depends things have changed a lot since I came to live in Riga. A lot of the things I did in N.Y.C. I don't do here for one reason or another. I guess I mostly love just taking things as they come and enjoying each day to the fullest and letting the Lord guide me.
Love and hugs from Riga.
Our Sweet Rasma
Gypsy, I thank you for telling me about your wonderful life and taking me on the roller Coaster Ride and introducing me to the Gypsy’s. I am amazed. You are a wonderful writer and a great friend.
Thank you all!
