The Tell

Updated on October 14, 2015

as the air between

becomes shallow

and the weight

of our secrets

hold us down.

and I feel

against my

I remember

all the memories

of the bed.

The way the cool sheets

felt against blistering

and soft pillows

enrapturing secret dreams.

The rug has a

wine stain

from when we spilled it

in our drunken escapade.

has seen it all

and now reflects

and rabid eyes.

His eyes look up.

My mouth opens.
