Dreams, Hopes and Destruction

The paper airplane flies

Carrying the little boys’ dreams

Bombing on the 'uninvolved'

The fighter aircraft drops 'Little Boy' somewhere

Shattering all hopes

Like lights of gleam.

Paper boats floating away...

The paper boats float

Loaded with wishes and expectations

RMS Titanic is unsinkable

In unending lamentations

Flood

Dreams are for the rich

Realizing everytime poverty unfurls

We drown in our own tears

People of the third world.

Paper tiger

The paper tiger, it stares

That’s all it can do

Fear is a paper tiger

We all know that it's going to...

Faded memories...

And then the paper flower

It can last forever

A beautiful gift from a young girl to a young boy

Eternally unchanged

And the eternal moment

Not For Sale!

Only once in a while it must be dusted

Eternity made docile

Then she was sold to a brothel...

Love is for the fortunate

She has wailed and learned

We drown in our own tears

Here in the third world.

My child is beautiful

My sweet beautiful child

Hush be quiet, my child is sleeping good

Aftermath

He's been sleeping since the bombings yesterday, that paralyzed my legs

My house is in ravages and my wife is dead

Dry is all dry, everywhere is dreary

With one eye gone, the other one I'm staring

A little piece of wet ground where the little one's blood rolled

We drown in our own tears

In the third world.

Exported doctors

Irony

Doctors we produce in millions

For sharing with the first world

They increasingly depend on our poverty

To stay on top

Doctors we supply in millions

Yet our own people die of curable diseases

We have no hospitals to be admitted

The doctors are sitting

workless

Wasteland
Wasteland | Source

They've made us humans

Unfit for the jungle

Promising us society they've pushed us in the bumble

Where there are no lions to hunt and eat us

End our misery swiftly

But we must fight pigs, vultures and eagles

For the right to rotten crumblings

The earth swirls, withstanding the winds hurl

We drown in our own tears

In the third world.

Hunting and gathering!

Slums

Filthy slums

Filthy and odorous nasty

They walk past us in their air-conditioned cars

Holding their noses tightly

Richer the rich and poorer the poor!
Richer the rich and poorer the poor! | Source

They enjoy their riches

They spill and they waste

They take their dogs for beauty treatments

When we ask for alms

They tell us to go find work

We find lockouts

Kickouts, strikes and unemployment ...

The earth keeps swirling, withstanding the winds hurl

We drown in our own tears

In the third world.

Poverty and Philosophy

Should India ban the usage of some unnecessary foreign products to keep the money at home?

Deep Metaphysical...Very profound article....Your words speak the truth, as I have seen it for myself, yet the privileged in their country, suffer for not. How can a country turn it's back on their own ? It appears there has never been a " future " for these countries, hence perhaps we need to start keeping our own from becoming a " third world "...just a thought...

Well you certainly brought all of those powerful emotions home. So sad for children growing up in such places. I have always been mad at our government here in Latvia thinking they are fools but at least even though I call this a Banana Republic it is nothing like what people suffer in The Third World but I think we are heading for disaster if someone doesn't start doing something right.
