The Trembling Bird
The Trembling Bird
within this cage
a trembling bird...
often seen
but seldom heard.
looked upon
with piteous glance,
cast aside to
Fated stance.
To this cage
an angel flew,
With ears to hear
possessed by few.
With tender heart
and free of guile,
paused to listen
for a while.
Then with sweet
abandon threw
ope the door,
the bird withdrew.
with tender touch
and softest kiss
filled the bird
with trembling bliss.
A miracle
had just occurred
to free the tragic
trembling bird.
A golden tune
emerged and rang...
the silent bird
ecstatic, sang.
the air was filled
with melody
this trembling bird
had been set free.
the angel came,
of gentle ear,
took the time
to listen near.
beyond the cage
now taken wing
this trembling bird
with joy will sing.
Ne're again to
be the same
delivered from
her trembling shame.
