The Unerasable

Updated on November 2, 2010

Flashes of thought

our footsteps make

as walk we, a dreadful course

dancing  to the bitter end

stumbling, fumbling

as we dance to what we want

dragging friends,

family, neighbors too

not escaping escaping

where we've been

with eyes wide shut

to where we go too

not out of idiocy are we blind

but for the case, we don't want to know.

We may tell ourselves

that all is well

that someone will pave a path for us

to happiness ere comes the end

but the louder we shout

our blasphemous fraud

the more hollow it returns

with mocking fire

that leaves us finding

some place to hide.

Let us then shed our memmories

walking up the God lit course

seeking endlessly tirelessly

an eternal way to our best self

Doing the works

Christ showed us to do

If we cannot

lets seek his power

for where he got it

time doth not rust

so there it remains.

To be plain, it is still there

any with brains can see

Then march we all up Golgotha's slope

Standing by our masters feet

taking upon us

the spitting shaming masses

doing for all what what they cannot

and carving a better way.

...deep and profound as anything I've ever read at the Hub since I came here 5 months ago ....... I would say that you definitely take an intellectual approach to your writing - and it's obviously on another level which is unique to you - and a gift of poetry to us!!!

lol Yeah, your right, it isn't very funny but my next cross poem will have more of a "Life of Brian" feel to it.
