The Visitors from Another World

Updated on June 28, 2017

The moon was so silvery and beaming brightly

As I walked my household pet, I did do nightly

Suddenly a huge red orb appeared was to land

Sat down by the ocean on a beache's pale sand

I had hurried back to my home on that evening

Reported that sighting all would think deceiving

When spacemen came out all did give a shout

Was not a first appearance for this type of craft

The creatures were both seen covered in white

Each one a huge eye in the middle of their head

Walking very stiffly they soon went right to work

All witnesses each had such a feeling of dread

As they placed a small pole into that gritty soil

Its strange striped cloth waved in the breezes

One creature stood up straight and did salute

Our companions hid amid coughs and sneezes

We all were allergic to these visitors from space

Made our eyeballs to pop out, streaking our face

As quickly as the creatures did arrive were gone

Now the great moon showed dimly, was all alone

Our scientists measured tracks these visitors had made

That following evening we all did have a grandest parade

Celebrating the huge arrival of weirdest aliens now at last

No more what-ifs or just maybes, no doubts were to cast

We placed the bright flaglet so bravely we captured there

Where all could witness this symbol that was so very rare

Red, white and blue colors on the one side were all to be

On the other stranger symbols, USA that we each did see

United Space Aliens was then thought that it had meant

These simple extraterrestrials all lagging behind, so sent

Our ships much more advanced to run circles about theirs

Conquering all worlds, running up and down space's stairs
