The Weeping Willows

Updated on April 17, 2012

If you look at her today

She is not.. okay

She is sick and full of sorrows

running deep into her marrows

Her eyes only to tell us her condition

are the weeping willows

Her body is ruined

in state of demolition

Only and only... moral depletion

In this state of disease

only on of her organs can speak with ease

They are the weeping willows

In this place of noise

where there is no care for anyone

just like toys

one cry wants only peace and rest

Its by the weeping willows

Morning and night

she looks into the sky

with a sense of fright... clarified

with a patient cry... not satisfied

Peace oh! peace!! shout the stream of cries

With tired eyes looking lost in the sky

They are the weeping willows

Beautiful writing. Weeping willows are poetic in themselves. I've always loved them; they make a great poem topic. I love Michael Jackson, too. He had a heart for a lot of things in this world.... Great work.

Lovely writing! I have a weeping willow that cracked in half at the top of the trunk in a storm two years ago. Sadly, we had to have one half removed by tree surgeons; it looked very sorry for itself for a while but, as the tree surgeon promised, it soon started to sprout again. It now has one huge branch at the top that is starting to look out of place, but it's the most architectural willow I've ever seen, and I'm loathe to put it through any more!

Weeping willows are a big part of my childhood, they lined the river beside our home when I was growing up. These trees pull at our emotions like no other and they weep, they really do. My memories are not all good ones and the weeping willow takes me back. I love you words, I love these trees, they are life.

"Peace oh! peace!! shout the stream of cries

With tired eyes looking lost in the sky

      They are the weeping willows"

Yes, such is the weeping willow.

You write in a way that pulls at my senses, Rahul. Amazing poetry. My votes to you and sharing. Thank you.

Very descriptive, powerful and your imagery is stark. I can see and feel the weeping willow's sorrow, pain and possible demise. Like all trees, they are fed by the water of life, their roots soak up life until it's taken all away and then their marrow is exposed and they silently wither and die. Well done my poetic friend, thoroughly enjoyed this piece. Voted Up, awesome and beautiful.
