The Wind Blue Cold

Updated on April 14, 2011

I sit and listen to your lonely howl

At times so angry you let out a growl

As you pass me by I can hear your faint whistle

As you blow along the garden thistle

The leaves swaying from side to side

As you pass me by swiftly with glide

You grace me with your presence so clear

No given formation in the skies atmosphere

You race against the birds’ way up high

Up, up it goes my kite in the sky

A shiver down my spine when you cross

A touch so cold you travel with frost

You bring in the rain clouds so grey

The branches and trees they swing and sway

Throughout the morning and all through the night

You blew out the flicker to my candle light

I have blown in from the cold for a taste of this beautiful poem, you flavor it with special spices and the aroma is blown through my nostrils as the winds whirl about and mother nature plays havoc on our souls.

I love the wind, it's sound, it's feel upon my face. Thank you for this summer breeze, so refreshing. Hugs

Nice one I felt drawn into the stanzas and felt longing at the end for the poem to go on. I like your style.

This is very, very good! We are getting lots of wind this spring! It helps to dry things out...even the tears of Old Man Winter.

Wow!! All the sunshine and flowers and season stuff, and the fact that we finally have a warm day here, I do believe Spring has finally arrived, and selfishly it seems, it's all just for me... ;)

A beautiful homage to our dear friend Ms. Wind, like me, it both circles and twists to no end, yet my orbit, for sure, is for Bella, my friend...

I particularly liked, "Throughout the morning and all through the night You blew out my [the] flicker to my candle light."

Let's see if we can keep your flicker going, hmmmm... :)

      bb.
