Chapter 2: Something Dark Runs in the Family

Richard or Rich, as he liked to be called was the youngest of the male Hogan clan. His granddaddy snapped when Rich was five. Rich is now 27 and does not know that his pawpaw has a mental problem and is locked away in an asylum for attempted double murder. As far as Richard's father goes, he died by hanging himself from a tree in the backyard of the family home. He was discovered two hours later by Rich and it had an effect on him without a doubt. Richard felt a sense of loss, of course, but he also started to feel hatred and rage inside his heart.

Chapter 6: A Snap in the Brain

Rich was confused as to why he cut the student with the saw. He calmed the students, telling them it was an accident but in reality he meant to do it. One thing for sure is that Richard enjoyed the pain he inflicted on this guy and he was going to do it again but this time with more conviction. "I am the one who controls carving of wood...and flesh" Richard spouted off aloud before leaving his house for his class.

The mind of this individual had snapped and nobody seems to know the real reason why. All of a sudden, Ricky could not distinguish between wood and flesh, saw dust and blood, or...well, you get point. "I am going to eat a cheeseburger and fingers. Oh, yea, let me also get a double order of eyeballs and that should be it". As Rich talked out loud and said the weirdest things, one thing became obvious. Mr. Hogan had lost it.

Chapter 7: A Hostage Game of Life and Death

Once reality left R.H., he spent the weekend constructing a homemade coffin. Hogan drove to his building construction classroom late Sunday night in order to put the casket in the stockroom. He planned to put two people in the wooden box and handle the others first.

After class ended for the evening, Richard requested for two students to stay after for a minute. The people were Stacey and Earl. Mr. Hogan went to the back and said he would be right back. "We are the head of the class!" exclaimed Stacey, as the two laughed aloud. Richard called Earl to the back and when he got in the stockroom, a ball ping hammer met his cranium and Earl fell face first on the concrete floor where he laid motionless. Mr. Hogan put his limp, but still alive, body inside the crudely made casket.

Chapter 8

Richard walked out and Stacey was sitting with her back to him. "Stacey"! As Stacey turned around she was met with a skill saw in the head, which was thrown at her. Rich Hogan tossed the blade like a ninja using throwing stars. This mentally ill man must have practiced cause he sure has good aim. The blade tore her ear clean off and she fell down, playing dead for her own safety. Richard hogan admired his work for a moment before returning to the backroom to torture Earl for no apparent reason other than the fact that this guy is insane. While he was in the back, Stacie jumped to her feet and left out the front door in a silent fashion and after running several blocks she hid between some homes and got out her cell phone calling 911 and screaming for help. Once the police arrived they surrounded the house with deputies at every possible exit from the residence. When the law entered the home they could hear a drill which helped them determine where to go. An officer gently opened the door where the noise was blasting from and saw the unthinkable. Richard Hogan was using a drill with a long bit to make holes all over the wooden coffin that had Earl in it. "Freeze", "Hands Up" the officer said as he and his partner cocked the hammer on their pistols. Hogan let go of the drill and ran into the bathroom, locking it behind him. As cops kicked the door in, Rich was already out the bathroom window and running full speed.

The law was baffled that they lost their perpetrator so easily when they had them in their grasp. As the cops circled the area, Rich Hogan was sitting up high in his tree house that was built 35 feet up in a tree in the woos near his home. Already planning it out, Richard decided to live in the tree house and come out only at night. Will he strike again? Will the police catch him?

Over a year has passed and the police have no clue that this horrific man is living right above their head. Mr. Hogan loves wood and now he lives with wood all around him.
