The Word Waits For The Bus

Updated on September 7, 2012

The son of man was just taken down
The midnight sun failed to light the dawn
No stone no angel no weeping woman
Only faith baking inside an oven
Free will came with a choice
Or so declared the trumpets voice
Is the courage to reject
Equal to the courage to accept?

The son of man was just taken down
The early morning moon lit the deserted town
No martyr no blind man no leper
Only questions asked by unbelieving beggar
Even though the eyes of the time were open
They became human once again
As the camel’s mind began to settle
On the color of the thread for a needle

The son of man was just taken down
The mist of a lost world softened his thorny crown
No pain no blood no wound
Only a savior who made no sound
Forsaken as only a virgins eyes did not stray
What price glory must even God pay?
The bus stop was empty as he waited
To transport his rejected word to where it was fated

Yes. the words of Jesus are rejected by those who do not care, have fears, caught up in their own world and can see only to the end of their noses.Yes, Jesus is rejected by some and those who accept Him and his word, are saved and will receive the glory of God on the Highest. So sad that there are those who allow Jesus'word to fall down into the dusts of lost souls.
